10_22 llueve mucho frio/ fall break trip

I'm sorry for all those who check my blog every single day, this fall break I've been travelling across the midwestern  states  and I had no time for updating. While everyone went to places so far away, Marius and me made the decision (with a great hang over, which for sure influenced it) of going to the "closer" detroit, we didn't know that it was going to be seven hours of driving each way!
Our trip revealed the real midwestern america, its people and cities. It seemed like nobody lived there, we didn't see anyone but one old man reading the bible in Battle Creek, for those who don't read the cereals box while having breakfast, that's the town where kelloggs is based.
toledo was more of the same, nobody but some tacky tacky people celebrating a wedding, dressed like al capone ( 20's chicago style). And in the middle of the anonymous city, the kazuyo sejima's glass pavilion.
the building, maybe that's no the correct word to define the SANAA's work, is the simplest and, at the same time the most complex. Only two horizontal planes (floor and ceiling) create the space, the different rooms and services are elegantly separated  from one another by simple glass walls. the curves of these panels and the vision through them gives a complex and ambiguous impression, full of reflections and light. Simply fantastic!! (it was worth the first six hours in the car)
we left toledo and headed to DETROIT, the Ford town, this ugly city keeps to me the most interesting work by Mies van der Rohe, the Lafayette park housing complex. The visit was a great reason to love mies again. No great free spans, no stupid architectural concerns, just people living in miesian spaces, human architecture. the feeling you get by walking around the attached houses is unique, so calm and warm, I can't describe it with words not even in spanish!
I have to mention marius great labour, he was the driver of this fourteen hour trip, a great companion, and what is more important he was always happy to drive for one more hour to see one disappointing and small building. thanks for this fall break!

10_14 nublado fresco/ introducing ANA FLECHA MARCO

she is beautiful, she draws very well, and has 174 friends in the facebook. Raised in Leon, we met one day in a old, dirty and tacky class of music, she was six, I was six. she was short i was short. She could play the piano, I couldn't , why? I was not the teacher's relative!

10_13 frio nublado/ the line

(10_3 despejado, calor/EN CONSTANTE TRANSFORMACION

ERICA from LAS VEGAS!!!!!!!!

can anyone be more trendy, decadent, and cool than someone who was born in LAS VEGAS?
please, don't answer, there's no question about it.
